What is Unclaimed Property:

Unclaimed property refers to assets or funds that have been left inactive for various reasons. These assets, ranging from bank accounts and uncashed checks to stocks and insurance payments, remain with financial institutions or companies for a time. If not claimed, they are eventually transferred to state treasuries or governmental agencies, where they are held safely until the rightful owner or heirs come forward.

Where we come in:

We primarily operate through proactive asset identification and claimant outreach, identifying funds that have been turned over to the State Controller's Office of California and calling or emailing their rightful owners to initiate the asset recovery process. While we assist a broad range of clients in identifying and recovering their lost funds, currently our outbound efforts are primarily focused on our on two ongoing initiatives First Slice of Impact and Supporting Local Physicians which respectively aim to assist California's local pizza shops, and small medical practices to identify and recover their lost funds. 

So far our audit of the states unclaimed property records has uncovered over $350,000 in unclaimed properties owed to 85 small local pizza shops (averaging $4,350 per shop), and an astounding $4,729,206.60 in funds turned over to the state in the last 5-years which are owed to local physicians and medical practices (averaging $1900 per claimant.)

Starting on September 5th we will begin calling and emailing the rightful owners of the properties we have discovered to initiate the recovery process, our goal is to help 10 practices submit claims to the state controller per week.
